Lighting Up Your Holiday Tablescape
Desiging and setting up the perfect tablescape for the holidays is incomplete with the perfect lighting solution. Natural light from a flickering candle sets the tone for the evening, signifying that this is no special dinner, no regular get-together, but a holiday dinner where you get to spend times with your loved ones and enjoy delicious food! No matter what you design theme for the holidays is (eclectic, traditional, modern, etc.), there are beautiful solutions that you can use all year 'round or set aside for the more special moments. At Source Interior Designs, we always have candlesticks for a variety of different situations, but here are a few of my favorites that would take your table to the next level:
Here is a beautiful set of Italian giltwood candlesticks that are perfect year 'round. The silver and gold tones can play off of the other metallics that you have on your table, while the giltwood patina is gorgeous and can work well in an everyday, albeit more formal, setting.
Another favorite that we have on the floor right now at Source Interior Designs are these amazing vine candlesticks. These are able to interlock with one another, making a beautiful chain of silver vine that can run the length of your table. These are best used on a table or in a permanent position, because they tend to take up more space than tradtional candlesticks. When the candles are lit in these, with light from above, they positively GLOW!
We have a couple of these in and if you remember my post from a couple weeks ago about bamboo, you know that I'm simply mad for the stuff! These have been very popular as they look very tradtional, yet the bamboo gives such an interesting pop of texture. These are definitely candlesticks that you can keep around all year 'round as you could find a use for them on any table.
These are, by far, the most interesting choice of these candlesticks. This unusual shape, combined with the acrylic material, can transcend the normal boundaries of decorating. Only needing two, these gorgeous candlesticks can be placed on either end of the table and provide sufficient light for everyone to enjoy a beautiful meal.
Until next time,
Evie Clinton
